SourceOne Global Partners, Chicago, IL, has formed a strategic alliance with Vesifact AG, Baar, Switzerland. The VesiSorb delivery system, developed by Vesifact, is protected worldwide by multiple U.S. and International granted and pending patents. The first product that Vesifact and SourceOne will introduce using this patented technology is CoQsource Bio-Enhanced CoQ10. With CoQsource, peak absorption of nearly 17% was achieved in a clinical study. According to SourceOne, this represents a significant improvement compared to reported peak absorption values. CoQsource is composed of millions of colloidal droplets that readily solubilize CoQ10 in the GI-tract, thereby improving the trans­port of CoQ10 through the aqueous phase of the GI-lumen to the absorptive epithelium and hence its bioavailability. SourceOne’s stewardship in the al­liance will encompass development of strategic marketing plans, leveraging cross-market segment synergies, and other partnership initiatives.
